Manager, AI Product Innovation

Project Management Institute is seeking a Manager for their AI Product Innovation Lab. The role involves managing product development and stakeholder interactions while prioritizing AI-driven initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• You are the single front door to the AI Innovation Lab
• Every request, every new idea, every business team that wants to leverage AI comes through you first
• You are product-first -you think about what the Lab should work on, why it matters, what good looks like, and how success is measured
• Your center of gravity is product, stakeholder management, prioritization, and the operating rhythm of the team

Requirements:

• 8+ years in product management, with meaningful time on AI/ML or data-driven products
• Exceptional stakeholder management - you have navigated multi-tenant internal-customer dynamics before, where multiple business units all want your team's time and you had to make the tough calls
• Strong prioritization craft -you are comfortable with hard trade-offs, saying no, and making the not now list visible to everyone who asks
• Strong writing and narrative skills -one-pagers, leadership updates, sharp framing. You write the way good PMs write: clearly, concisely, and with a point of view
• Experience running lean, fast-moving teams with light-touch process -you prefer shipping over planning and you adapt process to what the team actually needs
• Experience managing the operating rhythm of a technical team -rituals, reviews, retros, and the judgment to cut what is not working
• Strong communicator who can present to senior leadership without hiding behind jargon
• Comfortable making calls with incomplete information and adjusting course as you learn
• Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, or similar)
• Hands-on experience with vibe coding using AI-assisted tools such as Claude Code, ChatGPT Codex, or similar to rapidly prototype and build working apps without a traditional engineering workflow
• Comfort creating functional software end-to-end is a strong signal of the AI fluency this role requires
