Software Engineer in Test

ImpetusIT is seeking a Software Engineer in Test (SDET) to ensure the quality and functionality of software applications through rigorous testing and validation. The role involves conducting both manual and automated testing, identifying bugs, and working closely with developers to resolve defects.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct manual and automated testing of software applications
• Identify, document, and report bugs and issues
• Work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve defects
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts
• Ensure software meets quality standards and business requirements
• Perform regression testing and validate fixes
• Stay up to date with testing methodologies and industry best practices

Requirements:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Basic understanding of software testing principles and methodologies
• Familiarity with testing tools such as Selenium, JIRA, or TestRail
• Design, develop, and execute test cases for Java-based applications
• Automate test scripts using tools like Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG
• Conduct API testing and validate backend logic
• Experience with automated testing tools (Selenium, Cucumber)
• Stay updated with the latest testing methodologies and tools
• Knowledge of scripting languages for automation testing is a plus
• Familiarity with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins
• Knowledge of API testing with Postman or REST Assured
• Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
