Schneider Electric is a global leader in energy management and automation, and they are seeking a Field Project Manager to facilitate critical onsite work while ensuring safety and operational efficiency. The role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to manage maintenance and repairs of electrical and mechanical equipment, as well as creating and administering procedures to meet customer needs.
Responsibilities:
- Perform Site Surveys to identify Equipment, Critical Loads, Safety and Environmental concerns, and critical facility personnel
- Create written Methods Of Procedures (MOP) and Standards Of Procedures (SOP) for maintenance and repair work that identify equipment, hazards, effects on building, and key personnel for various types of site equipment, including: Electrical distribution systems, FACP Systems, Generators, Automatic Transfer Switches, UPS’s, Chilling and Cooling Equipment and monitoring systems
- Manage maintenance and repairs for customers’ site Electrical and Mechanical equipment
- Work with Client Managers to schedule customer site work
- Administer MOPs/SOPs in person while supervising vendors
- Work with customer and monitoring team to dispatch T&M troubleshooting and repair services
- Provide training (within their expertise) to site operations teams (Client, vendor and, SE technicians) on expected standards of maintenance and program guidance
- Assist site teams in the management of small scale Mechanical Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) style projects
- Serve as resource to assist with hardware deployment, setup and commissioning
- Ensure all assigned sites meet and exceed operations program standards
- Assist in overall operations program improvements by providing feedback from site teams and clients
- To effectively audit assigned sites on a regimented schedule
- Provides suggestions for continuous improvements in the areas of process improvement and program consistency
- Facilitates communication and information flow for effective issue resolution as it relates to operational needs on assigned sites (internally and externally)
- Create reporting based on client and Schneider Electric (SE) KPIs, and review with all stakeholders
Requirements:
- Strong practical knowledge of data center infrastructure systems
- Ability to travel up to 60% across NAM (United States and Canada)
- Critical environments operations management
- Hazard and safety risk mitigation
- Understanding of operations of critical equipment of at least 3-4 of the following: Electrical Distribution equipment, Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) and Clean agent release systems, Generators and ATS, Uninterruptible Power Supplies Controls and Operations, HVAC and data center cooling systems
- Technical understanding and communication to peers/management and client POCs
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office to include SharePoint, Word, Project, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Understanding and implementation of risk mitigation processes
- Operational compliance regulations such as NFPA 10 Fire Extinguishers, NFPA 25 Water based fire protection, NFPA 72 Fire alarm and signaling, NFPA 110 Emergency and Standby Power Systems, NFPA 2001 Clean Agent
- Ability to deliver on the job training in the critical environment's arena as appropriate
- Ability to review drawings and schematics for accuracy and content
- 10+ years field experience with 1 or more of the above listed equipment
- 5+ years experience in mission critical environments management
- 3+ years in procedure/standard based operational review
- 5+ years with Electrical and Mechanical Safety requirements
- Direct experience with critical equipment types listed above
