Sumo Logic is a company that empowers modern digital business through its cloud-native applications and analytics platform. They are seeking a Senior Manager for North America Field Marketing to develop and execute localized marketing strategies aimed at driving new business pipeline and customer expansion.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with sales leadership and key stakeholders to develop and execute a differentiated field marketing strategy for North America
- Own the North America Tier 2 and Tier 3 event strategy and execution, including regional tradeshows, industry events, executive experiences, customer/prospect programs, partner-led activities, and field-driven demand generation initiatives
- Build and manage integrated marketing campaigns that create new opportunities, engage prospects, and advance pipeline opportunities to support revenue growth
- Develop and execute 1:1, 1-many, and industry-specific marketing programs, both virtual and in-person, to drive demand generation, account engagement, and measurable pipeline contribution
- Collaborate with Sales, Partner Marketing, and Regional Partner Account Managers to drive new logo acquisition through channel partners
- Build and support strategic partner marketing plans that align partner-led activities with regional sales priorities, target accounts, and direct field marketing motions
- Act as the primary marketing resource for regional sales and sales engineering teams, ensuring alignment on objectives and strategies
- Lead the North America field marketing team, including resource management, hiring, mentorship, and performance management
- Continuously track and report on program performance, adjusting plans using data insights to optimize results
- Manage budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources while strategically optimizing spend to maximize ROI and align with broader business goals
Requirements:
- 5+ years of B2B SaaS Field Marketing experience, with a proven track record of driving pipeline growth in North America
- Demonstrated experience owning regional event strategy and execution, including Tier 2 and Tier 3 events, field programs, executive experiences, partner events, and industry-specific demand generation activities
- Strong understanding of how to build field marketing programs that support both new logo acquisition and pipeline acceleration
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to use data to measure and optimize campaign performance, event impact, partner contribution, and ROI
- Strong cross-functional leadership skills, with the ability to build alignment across Sales, Partner Marketing, Channel, Demand Generation, Product Marketing, and Sales Engineering
- Expertise in managing marketing budgets to maximize ROI, drive efficiency, and prioritize investment based on business impact
- Proficient in marketing platforms such as Salesforce, Marketo, and 6Sense, as well as G-suite, Slack, and other communication tools
