Sr Epic Cogito Business Analyst

AdventHealth Colorado is a community-focused organization that emphasizes the wholeness of each person. They are seeking a Senior Epic Cogito Business Analyst to identify and develop solutions for reporting needs, collaborate with business intelligence developers, and maintain the enterprise-wide Reporting Workbench.

Responsibilities:

• Identifies and develops appropriate solutions for various reporting needs with the Cogito project manager and business intelligence developers (BIDs)
• Reviews and approves existing Reporting Workbench templates and creates additional templates as needed
• Identifies the needs of report consumers with reporting subject matter experts
• Designs specifications for custom report requests with subject matter experts and business intelligence developers
• Designs, implements, and maintains an enterprise-wide Reporting Workbench and Radar security policy
• Maintains the Cogito Catalog and associated metadata records
• Sets up in-scope Slicer Dicer data models and designs custom filters with BIDs per end user request
• Assists the principal trainer in developing training curriculum and training power reporting users
• Facilitates report content design and establishes report scope and prioritization
• Translates end-user workflow-based report requests to specific data points required for report development
• Builds Radar dashboards and Reporting Workbench reports, templates, and extracts for the application
• Works in partnership with the Data Warehouse team and other stakeholders concerning the accuracy of data and efficiency of processes
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Familiarity with Epic reporting tools
• Familiarity with the foundation system reports available for the applications they are working with
• Script in SQL/PL SQL SELECT
• Proficiency with query performance tuning
• Experience in development, testing and implementation of reports and dashboards
• Familiarity with 'big data' and analytics
• Good knowledge of coding/development standards and best practices
• 3+ development, testing and implementation of reports and dashboards
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of business analysis and requirements elicitation process
• Knowledge of application development process, testing, and quality assurance
• Associate in information systems, healthcare informatics or similar fields
• 1+ in healthcare it
• 4+ development, testing and implementation of reports and dashboards
• Epic Cogito Curriculum (EPIC COGC)
• Epic Cogito Tools Administration (EPIC CTA)
