BuzzSpoon is an early-stage startup focused on creating a food-sharing social platform. They are seeking a motivated Culinary Creator & Field Marketing Manager to drive grassroots growth, user acquisition, and community engagement across various campuses and regions in the U.S.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct grassroots outreach to chefs, bakers, home cooks, culinary students, foodies, and culinary creators within your region or campus community
- Help grow BuzzSpoon awareness and activity throughout your campus and local foodie community
- Make outbound cold calls and direct outreach to potential users and food businesses
- Attract new users and culinary creators to join BuzzSpoon
- Drive signups, onboarding activity, and platform engagement within your assigned region
- Recruit qualified Authorized Food Sellers onto the platform
- Get prospective users and sellers to create their BuzzSpoon profile (“Table”), post dishes, build a following, request and serve plates, engage with their local foodie community, and grow activity around their Table
- Follow up with prospects and encourage continued engagement on the platform
- Track outreach efforts, signups, onboarding activity, and regional growth progress
- Contribute ideas and feedback to improve growth, outreach, campus marketing, and user acquisition strategies
- Sign up for BuzzSpoon and create your own personal BuzzSpoon profile (aka “Table”)
- Prepare your own homemade dishes and post them to your BuzzSpoon Table
- Serve plates of your dishes to friends, local foodies, and others nearby via pickup and delivery
- Post your own kitchen content and culinary creations on BuzzSpoon
- Participate in DishSwap activities with other users on the platform
- Build engagement and activity around your Table
- Interact with other culinary creators and members of the BuzzSpoon community
- Help generate authentic local platform activity within your region
Requirements:
- Interns must live in or near the region/campus they are helping grow so they can better connect with local foodie communities, conduct outreach, and help drive authentic platform activity within their area

- Culinary students, aspiring chefs, bakers, food creators, and individuals with a culinary background are strongly preferred
- Comfortable talking with people both online and offline
- Interested in marketing, community growth, startups, or social media
- Self-motivated and comfortable with grassroots outreach
- Active on social media and enjoys creating content
- Comfortable creating and posting culinary content online
- Excited about helping grow a new foodie-focused platform
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with local foodie culture, culinary communities, campus organizations, or food businesses is a plus
