BGI Worldwide Logistics, Inc. is an on-demand freight forwarding company providing logistics services to commercial customers. The Sales Business Development Executive is responsible for driving new business development, managing strategic client relationships, and executing corporate sales growth initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead an active, results-driven sales effort in the solicitation of new business for BGI Worldwide Logistics
- Provide direct support for corporate sales growth initiatives and company-wide field sales efforts
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through market research, personal networking, inbound sales leads, and referrals
- Monitor, track, and report on all lead activity and advancement through the sales cycle
- Manage quarterly sales goals and performance metrics as assigned by management
- Monitor, score, and actively manage the sales funnel; deliver weekly pipeline reporting to leadership
- Prepare RFQs and client proposals, including rate and pricing development for key and target accounts
- Oversee new customer onboarding, including the delivery and collection of all required documentation (Client Application, Power of Attorney, signed quotes, and related forms)
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date prospects and client records in CargoWise and CRM modules
- Provide consistent sales reporting on a weekly and monthly basis per agreed-upon schedules
- Develop and communicate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for services sold and client-specific requirements, ensuring seamless service delivery through operations
- Uphold individual performance standards and sales goals as established by management
Requirements:
- 3–5+ years of proven experience in freight forwarding or logistics sales, with a demonstrated track record of developing and closing new business
- English (Required)
- Bilingual a plus
- Remote or Hybrid (Long Island or Northeast area preferred)
