AI Fund is focused on innovative solutions in healthcare, and they are seeking an Engineer in Residence to develop an AI-native pediatric behavioral health provider. The role involves building a voice-first AI co-facilitator to enhance group therapy sessions for children, ensuring therapists maintain control while improving engagement and outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Build the MVP across real-time voice interaction, therapist UX, session orchestration, and data capture
- Make product and system decisions that keep the AI inside a tightly supervised co-facilitator role rather than drifting into autonomous therapy
- Work with clinicians and pilot partners to test whether the system improves engagement, consistency, and therapist capacity in real sessions
- Design for healthcare trust: overrideability, auditability, operational controls, and clear boundaries around what the AI does not do
- Work with AI Fund's build team on care-model wedge, technical scope, and route from pilots to a standalone provider
