Overflow is a Series B Silicon Valley technology company focused on inspiring generosity through its B2B SaaS philanthropy platform. They are seeking a Senior Product Designer to take ownership of core product areas, collaborating with engineering and product teams to create intuitive and trustworthy user experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Own design end-to-end — drive work from problem definition through launch and iteration across a core product area, with no specs thrown over a wall and no handoffs
- Turn ambiguous, high-stakes financial and operational workflows into experiences that feel intuitive and earn user trust
- Contribute to roadmap and product strategy with a strong, user-grounded point of view — helping shape decisions, not just executing them
- Move quickly from sketches to interactive prototypes to high-craft, production-ready designs, using prototyping to pressure-test ideas and align the team
- Lead lightweight, self-serve research and connect directly with churches and nonprofits to validate direction and generate insights
- Build and evolve Overflow's design system, establishing the foundations, patterns, and guidelines that let a small team ship consistent, high-quality experiences at speed
- Participate in critiques, give and receive sharp feedback, present work in product leadership reviews, and help define how design operates at Overflow as the team grows
Requirements:
- 5–7 years of product design experience, with a track record of shipping successful products end-to-end across mobile and desktop
- A portfolio that demonstrates both strong product thinking and exceptional visual and interaction craft, with attention to the details that make a product feel considered
- Experience designing complex systems and flows, not just individual screens — ideally in B2B, SaaS, or fintech, or another domain with similar workflows and stakes
- Comfort owning ambiguity and driving projects independently in a fast-paced, high-autonomy environment
- Fluency in prototyping (Figma required) and the ability to express nuanced design decisions through interactive work
- Clear communication and storytelling — the ability to craft a narrative and vision that aligns engineers, PMs, and leadership
- A collaborative, low-ego approach: kind, makes the people around them better, and treats feedback as fuel
- Experience scaling a design system and organization from early foundations
- Fintech, payments, or other regulated/high-trust domain experience
- Comfort prototyping in code or with AI tools, and an existing AI-augmented design practice
