DevOps Engineer Intern

Marketeq Talent is a growing organization focused on connecting innovative companies with talented professionals across technology and digital fields. They are seeking a DevOps Engineer Intern to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud-based infrastructure and deployment pipelines. The intern will collaborate with development and operations teams to automate tasks, improve deployment reliability, and learn best practices in a DevOps environment.

Responsibilities:

• Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud-based infrastructure and deployment pipelines
• Write and maintain Infrastructure as Code templates
• Assist with CI workflows, monitoring systems, and troubleshooting environment issues under the guidance of senior engineers
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to automate repetitive tasks, improve deployment reliability, and enhance observability
• Document processes, participate in code reviews, and learn best practices in security, scalability, and performance within a DevOps environment

Requirements:

• Foundational understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and tools, with interest in managing infrastructure through version-controlled configuration
• Basic Software Development experience in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or similar) and familiarity with version control systems such as Git
• Exposure to Continuous Integration practices and tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) and an interest in building and maintaining automated pipelines
• System Administration knowledge, including user management, process monitoring, and basic networking concepts
• Hands-on experience or coursework with Linux, including command-line usage, shell scripting, and basic system troubleshooting
• Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn new tools and technologies quickly
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a remote, distributed team environment
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or training program in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
