Confidential Jobs is building a North American commercial team focused on supplying critical power and electrical equipment into utility, renewable energy, industrial, and infrastructure projects. They are seeking a Business Development Manager who will develop new customer relationships and manage opportunities within various sectors including EPCs and utilities while working closely with senior leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic account plan across utilities, EPCs, renewable developers, industrial customers, OEMs, and infrastructure contractors
- Prospect and develop new business opportunities through direct outreach, industry relationships, trade shows, referrals, and account-based selling
- Build relationships with procurement teams, sourcing leaders, project managers, engineers, construction managers, and executive stakeholders
- Identify upcoming projects, capital programs, and procurement opportunities and position the company early in the buying cycle
- Coordinate with engineering, operations, estimating, and executive leadership to develop customer-specific solutions
- Manage opportunities from initial engagement through quotation, negotiation, and award
- Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and CRM discipline
- Represent the company at industry conferences, customer meetings, factory visits, and trade events throughout North America
Requirements:
- 3–8 years of business development, project sales, account management, or technical sales experience
- Demonstrated success selling products, equipment, or engineered solutions into EPCs, utilities, contractors, renewable developers, industrial customers, or infrastructure projects
- Proven ability to generate opportunities through prospecting, relationship-building, and direct customer engagement
- Experience managing project-based sales cycles involving procurement, engineering, operations, and commercial stakeholders
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to travel regularly throughout North America
- Entrepreneurial mindset and desire to help build and scale a growing business
- Experience selling directly into one or more of the following customer groups: EPC contractors, renewable energy developers, data center developers and operators, infrastructure and energy project owners
