Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. is a leader in power systems and high-voltage technologies across North America. They are seeking a Sales Engineering Section Manager to lead the Sales Engineering team, focusing on customer account management, bid strategy development, and contract negotiations to drive customer satisfaction and business success.
Responsibilities:
- Direct Sales Engineering activities to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction, ensure technical and commercial commitments are met, and support the development and expansion of partnership customer agreements
- Lead staff in accordance with Company policies; train and cross-train employees, facilitate continuing education, conduct performance reviews, and provide input for salary decisions
- Oversee bid strategy development and approve pricing that supports division margin requirements while reflecting market competitiveness for high-voltage switchgear products and services
- Lead negotiations for customer commercial contracts, ensuring favorable terms and alignment with HVSD objectives
- Prepare and deliver timely updates on Sales Engineering activities, progress, and priorities
- Prepare marketing materials and participate in trade shows, seminars, customer visits, and MELCO facility engagements
- Assist in sales forecasting, budget development, staffing plans, and expense management
- Represent HVSD professionally through effective collaboration and communication with customers, internal departments, and MELCO partners
- Maintain a strong understanding of MEPPI’s Quality, Safety, and Environmental policies and communicate their importance in daily operations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sales or sales engineering with an electrical manufacturing organization
- Minimum 3 years of management experience, or equivalent education and experience
- Advanced knowledge of electrical transmission products
- Ability to read, interpret, and understand customer drawings, technical specifications, and testing requirements
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Strong negotiation experience with customer contracts
- Ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced computer skills with MS Office
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems
