Sterling Engineering is seeking a talented Mid to Senior Level Electrical Engineer for a remote contract-to-hire opportunity. In this role, you will support diverse industrial engineering projects spanning chemical plants, mining, power, water/wastewater, data centers, and advanced manufacturing, while utilizing simulation tools to ensure robust system performance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform ETAP analysis and simulation
- Mentor and guide junior engineers
- Support Request for Proposals (RFP), Pre-Fee, and Front-End Engineering Design (FEED)
- Execute design progressions through 30/60/90% completion stages for Design-Build (D/B) and EPC projects
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience performing electrical engineering design for industrial facilities (e.g., chemical plants, mining/mineral processing, power, water/wastewater, processing, advanced manufacturing plants, data centers, EV battery)
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited 4-year college
- Engineer in Training (EIT) license is required
- Required experience with ETAP simulation/analysis software (or similar software)
- Professional Engineer (PE) License is preferred, or a willingness to obtain it within one year
- Experience with SmartPlant or similar software is preferred
