BCD Travel is a global leader in business travel solutions, and they are seeking a Manager Product Planning to lead product planning efforts for assigned solutions. The role involves taking full responsibility for product roadmaps, market introduction, and conducting competitive analyses to enhance commercial opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor your product development project to ensure its on-scope and on-schedule
- Support preparation of market introduction and hand-over to product delivery teams
- Make sure your assigned products have sound business plans, including an analysis of product profitability, sales success, and pricing strategy
- Identify current market needs and possible future gaps in our offering and conduct feasibility studies to bring ideas forward
- Conduct a competitive analysis for all your assigned products to show how we compare on the market
- Build relationships with our vendors; listen to their thoughts and concerns and foster ways to work together
Requirements:
- Prior experience in business travel or travel management
- Excellent knowledge of GDS Sabre and GDS Amadeus
- Competency with Microsoft Office Products, and collaborative software used for projects with remote team members and stakeholders
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. You'll interact with a variety of partners and will need a high level of comfort in communicating with professionals of different backgrounds
- Excellent time-management and project-management skills: you'll be constantly challenged to balance multiple initiatives, projects and perspective
- Capable of managing and working in a virtual and multinational team environment
