Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Information Governance & Taxonomy Specialist to support enterprise information management initiatives. This individual will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining information governance standards, metadata structures, and content classification frameworks within OpenText Content Server environments. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in document control, records management, information architecture, and enterprise taxonomy development.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise taxonomy and metadata models to support information governance objectives.
Lead information classification, content organization, and document management initiatives across business units.
Configure and optimize OpenText Content Server structures, categories, metadata, and governance processes.
Establish and enforce information governance policies, standards, and best practices for document lifecycle management.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand content management requirements and improve information accessibility.
Conduct content audits, information architecture assessments, and metadata reviews to ensure consistency and compliance.
Support records management, retention schedules, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Provide guidance on document control processes, content organization, and governance frameworks.
Assist with OpenText Content Server enhancements, migrations, upgrades, and optimization initiatives.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Information Management, Information Governance, Document Control, or Records Management.
Strong hands-on experience with OpenText Content Server administration, configuration, and governance capabilities.
Demonstrated expertise in taxonomy development, metadata management, and information architecture.
Experience designing content classification frameworks and document governance models.
Strong understanding of enterprise content management (ECM) principles and best practices.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to bridge business requirements with technical content management solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with records retention and compliance frameworks.
Knowledge of information lifecycle management and digital transformation initiatives.
Experience supporting large-scale enterprise content repositories and governance programs.
Familiarity with regulated industries such as Energy, Utilities, Manufacturing, or Engineering.
