They are seeking an experienced Business Development Representative (BDR) to lead outbound prospecting efforts primarily aimed at higher education institutions, involving strategic cold calling and personalized outreach.
Responsibilities:
- Execute high-volume, strategic outbound calling campaigns into higher education institutions
- Prospect into senior-level decision-makers including Provosts, CIOs, Vice Presidents, Deans, and Directors
- Craft personalized outreach strategies to break into complex institutions
- Generate qualified meetings and sales opportunities for Account Executives
- Maintain disciplined CRM hygiene and activity tracking
- Collaborate closely with marketing and sales leadership to continuously improve conversion rates
Requirements:
- 4-6 years of outbound BDR / SDR experience, with proven track record of exceeding outbound prospecting targets
- Significant cold calling experience with confidence and credibility (this role is phone-forward)
- Experience selling into higher education or other complex B2B environments strongly preferred
- Comfort prospecting into and has professional, confident communication with executive-level stakeholders and buyers
- Consistent attainment (or overachievement) of monthly qualified meeting targets
- Ability to navigate complex institutional structures
- Experience selling AI, analytics, or learning technology
- Experience working in early-stage or high-growth companies
