Accurate Background is committed to enhancing the background screening experience, and they are seeking a motivated Business Development Representative to generate new business opportunities. The role involves proactive outreach, identifying potential clients, and building relationships to support the sales pipeline.
Responsibilities:
- Generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting across phone, email, LinkedIn, and other channels
- Research target accounts and identify the right contacts to engage
- Qualify prospects by understanding their business needs, priorities, and level of interest
- Schedule meetings for Account Executives and support the development of a strong sales pipeline
- Maintain accurate activity and lead records in CRM and sales tools
- Follow up consistently to keep prospects engaged and move conversations forward
- Partner with sales and marketing teams to improve outreach efforts and support pipeline growth
- Stay informed on market trends and competitor activity to strengthen prospecting conversations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
- 1 or more years of experience in outbound prospecting/sales, business development, lead generation, or another customer-facing role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence engaging with prospective clients and initiating conversations
- High-resilience, adaptability, and a positive attitude in a performance-driven environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Comfort using CRM systems and sales tools
- Self-motivated, coachable, and eager to grow in a sales career
- Experience in B2B sales, SaaS, HR technology, or business services is preferred
- Experience with outbound prospecting and lead qualification practices is helpful
- Experience using tools such as Salesforce, Gong Engage, 6sense, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar platforms is a plus
