Markable AI is a fast-growing creator economy startup building the tools that power the next generation of digital creators. They are seeking a People Operations Lead who will manage all aspects of HR, including payroll, recruitment, and office operations, while fostering a positive workplace culture.
Responsibilities:
- Own the relationship with our PEO (Justworks), be the primary point of contact for all HR administration, compliance, and employee data
- Run payroll accurately and on time; pay contractors and manage all reimbursements
- Manage DocuSign workflows for offer letters, agreements, and other people documents
- Partner with CRO to lead the annual compensation review process, including benchmarking, modeling, and manager communications
- Administer semi-annual performance reviews end to end, templates, timelines, manager training, and calibration support
- Review and manage US benefits programs; coordinate open enrollment and answer employee questions
- Manage monthly commission payouts, working cross-functionally with sales and Finance to ensure accuracy
- Serve as the first point of contact for immigration questions, coordinating with outside counsel as needed
- Order swag, come up with creative ways to build a high performing team
- Maintain all employee folders
- Partner with recruitment consultant to run full-cycle recruiting across functions - who will write JDs, source candidates, manage pipelines, schedule interviews, and drive offers to close
- Track candidates and keep hiring managers updated; maintain a clean ATS
- Own onboarding from day one - systems access, paperwork, orientation, and a great first-week experience, set up gmail, and internal communication accounts
- Partner with managers to write personalized welcome letters and set new hires up for early success
- Manage all office operations for our Bellevue, WA office - snacks, supplies, vendor relationships, and day-to-day facilities, hardware
- Book travel (flights, hotels) for the team; negotiate hotel rates and preferred vendor agreements to keep us budget-conscious
- Handle all reimbursements promptly and accurately
- Send birthday gifts to new hires, and creators
- Plan and run team events, offsites, and celebrations that people actually look forward to
- Bring creative ideas for how to make Markable a great place to work - and follow through on them
- Be a trusted resource for employees across all levels, building culture through every interaction
