Bloomberg Live delivers compelling news-making convenings that harness the power of our global, wide-reaching newsroom and enable our premium audiences with the actionable insights and meaningful connections they need to succeed in work and in life. We are seeking a seasoned, Hong Kong/Singapore-based Director, Government Partnerships & Client Experience to lead the development and management of senior government relationships across global forums and government hosted events. The position is responsible for owning the full government partnership journey - from acquisition and proposal development to on-site execution.
This Director of Government Partnerships & Client Experience will also drive the strategic portfolio expansion by identifying priority markets and commercial opportunities aligned to the geopolitical landscape. This includes developing year-round engagement strategies as well as building new revenue streams. The position acts as the central coordination point for all government-related initiatives, using client insights and data to continuously refine offerings and ensure seamless, high quality delivery and long-term partner satisfaction across all government touchpoints.
We’ll trust you to:
- Lead the development and management of senior-level government relationships, partnering with ministries, agencies, and international organizations to support long-term collaboration and forum growth.
- Act as Client Experience Lead for core government and wider government partners, owning the end-to-end partner journey across global forums and ensuring best-in-class delivery.
- Partner with leadership to define forum portfolio expansion strategy, identifying priority markets and government partners aligned to geopolitical and commercial opportunities.
- Develop and deliver compelling partnership proposals and commercial strategies, driving both acquisition of new government partners and renewal of existing partnerships.
- Co-create forums with government stakeholders, aligning event themes and outputs with national priorities, policy agendas, and global positioning objectives.
- Oversee the execution of high-profile global forums, ensuring seamless experience across all government touch points including but not limited to visa coordination, protocol and ministerial engagement, delegation management and On-site partner experience
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams (commercial, editorial, production, and government relations) to ensure aligned and high-quality execution.
- Act as the central coordination point for government-related initiatives, streamlining workflows and prioritizing resources across multiple stakeholders.
- Drive year-round engagement strategies for government partners, including executive briefings, curated roundtables, and bespoke activations.
- Identify and develop new commercial opportunities through roadshows, coalition-building, and strategic convenings.
- Gather and leverage client insights and data to continuously refine offerings, ensuring market responsiveness and partner satisfaction
You’ll need to have:
- At least 5 years of experience in government account management
- Experience in media events and/or conference management
- Experience in project management tools and online systems including but not limited to Salesforce, Google Workspace, and Slack
- Proficiency in strategies and interpersonal skills to build client trust and be a highly self-motivated, energetic and engaged team member
- Demonstrated success in the management of complex partnerships
- Strong organizational skills; ability to manage complexity and competing priorities
- An eye for detail and analytical skills, including the ability to assemble information, extract pertinent facts, draw logical conclusions, and present recommendations.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment with the flexibility to travel internationally to attend events & client meetings
- Demonstrated continuous career growth within an organization
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Fluency in both written and spoken English
