Native Microbials, Inc. is a growing biotechnology company based in San Diego, CA, leading in advanced microbiome science and solutions for livestock and pets. The Business Development Representative will primarily be responsible for identifying and prioritizing prospects, generating qualified leads, and creating new sales opportunities to sell microbial products.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and prioritize prospects among dairy farmers, farm managers, nutritionists, feed operators, and veterinarians
- Methodically plan and organize daily schedule to maximize prospect outreach via dairy farm visits, phone calls, emails, etc
- Gather intelligence about prospects to inform sales strategy (i.e., how do we best position our product to meet their needs?)
- Turn prospects into qualified leads then work with the Sales Support and BDR Manager to convert them into paying customers
- Effectively use the CRM to record leads and opportunities
- Develop and implement a territory action plan through comprehensive data analysis, and adjust sales techniques based on interactions and results in the field
- Meet weekly, monthly, and annual quotas
- Prepare professional, concise, accurate reports and other documentation as required for executive-level presentations
- As needed, call on existing clients to maintain strong relationships and ensure exceptional service
Requirements:
- Previous Experience in a sales position
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales quotas
- Ability to translate complex data in a simple manner for customers
- Ability to simplify customer feedback to Dairy Sales Manager
- Familiarity with different sales techniques and pipeline management
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in sales tools, and processes software alongside strong social media skills
