Join Mater’s Department of Anaesthesia and help shape the future of care across Mater Hospitals South Brisbane and the new Mater Hospital Springfield.
Mater is seeking Staff Anaesthetists to join our team in full-time or part-time, maximum-term appointments, with flexible commencement. The role sit as part of an integrated anaesthesia service working across both Springfield and South Brisbane, offering exposure to a broad and diverse case mix spanning secondary and tertiary care.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a state-of-the-art greenfield hospital at Springfield, while also maintaining strong links to the depth and complexity of a major tertiary centre at South Brisbane including Australia’s largest maternity hospital. Together, these sites support a comprehensive range of services including ICU, maternity, emergency, and medical and surgical care. With co-located private hospitals, there are also unique and attractive opportunities for anaesthetists to increases their earnings through private activity.
The successful applicants will contribute to anaesthetic services across the network, including participation in the after-hours on-call rosters at our facilities, supporting obstetric and emergency anaesthesia. Demonstrated expertise in obstetrics and a broad range of adult anaesthesia is essential. Skills in paediatric anaesthesia, regional anaesthesia, perioperative medicine, and acute pain management are highly regarded, along with involvement in teaching, research, and quality improvement.
Salary: Commensurate with experience. Competitive retention incentives and generous allowance package plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
