Tkxel is hiring an Ignition SCADA Developer to design, build, and support supervisory control and monitoring systems for client engagements across industrial, utilities, and process automation domains. This is a hands-on delivery role focused purely on the Ignition platform by Inductive Automation — Gateway configuration, HMI/UI development, scripting, and system integration.

SCADA/HMI Development
Design and configure Ignition Gateway, Vision and/or Perspective clients for process monitoring, control, and visualization
System Integration
Integrate PLCs/RTUs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Modicon, or equivalent) into Ignition tag structures
Protocols
Configure and troubleshoot Modbus (RTU/TCP), OPC-UA, and Ethernet/IP for device connectivity
Data Engineering
Design SQL-backed Tag Historian pipelines for time-series data storage, trending, and reporting
Scripting
Write Python/Jython scripts within Ignition for automation logic, event handling, and custom UI behavior
Alarming
Configure Alarm Notification module with escalation paths for critical fault conditions
Client Deployment
Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and go-live commissioning
Documentation
Produce control narratives, P&IDs, network diagrams, and O&M manuals for client handoff
3–5+ years hands-on experience with Ignition by Inductive Automation (Gateway, Vision and/or Perspective modules)
Strong knowledge of industrial protocols : Modbus, OPC-UA, Ethernet/IP
PLC/RTU integration experience (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Modicon, or equivalent)
SQL for database design, Tag Historian configuration, and reporting
Python/Jython scripting proficiency within the Ignition environment
Ability to read/produce P&IDs, control narratives, and system architecture diagrams
Comfort working across multiple concurrent client projects in a services/consulting environment
Ignition Core Certification (Gold Certification a strong plus)
Experience with Sepasoft MES for process/production line use cases
Familiarity with OT cybersecurity practices (network segmentation, VPN, firewall configuration for industrial networks)
Exposure to other SCADA platforms (Wonderware/AVEVA, FactoryTalk) for hybrid integration scenarios
