LanguageLine Solutions is a company focused on technology solutions, and they are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to Salesforce-focused software application development. The role involves designing, developing, and supporting Salesforce platform enhancements and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure effective software delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Own the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of Salesforce platform enhancements, custom applications, integrations, and related software services
- Build and maintain Salesforce solutions using Apex, Visualforce, SOQL/SOSL, Salesforce APIs, platform configuration, and Lightning technologies where applicable
- Develop related application components using Java, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, web frameworks, APIs, databases, and integration patterns
- Partner with business stakeholders, Product, QA, Tier 1/Tier 2 support, and Technology teams to analyze issues, define solutions, and deliver production-ready changes
- Provide technical guidance for Salesforce and application incidents, defects, enhancements, integrations, and operational escalations
- Document designs, support procedures, root cause findings, and implementation details to improve handoffs and long-term maintainability
- Lead code reviews and promote Salesforce and software development best practices, test coverage, secure coding, release discipline, and documentation quality
- Troubleshoot complex production issues involving Salesforce configuration, Apex logic, Visualforce pages, integrations, APIs, web components, workflows, data, permissions, and platform behavior
- Identify technical debt in Salesforce and related application areas and drive practical improvements to reliability, performance, automation, observability, and supportability
Requirements:
- Experience: 10+ years of software engineering experience in production software environments, with significant hands-on Salesforce development experience
- Significant hands-on Salesforce development experience with Apex, Visualforce, SOQL/SOSL, Salesforce APIs, platform configuration, and Salesforce integrations
- Experience developing and supporting applications using Java, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, web frameworks, APIs, databases, and integration patterns
- Experience owning software delivery across design, implementation, validation, deployment, and production support
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders, Tier 1/Tier 2 support teams, QA, Product, and engineering partners
- Experience supporting business-critical systems, production incidents, enhancements, and operational escalations
- Strong Salesforce development skills, including Apex, Visualforce, SOQL/SOSL, Salesforce APIs, platform configuration, and Salesforce data/security model
- Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, object-oriented programming, API development, and web application development
- Strong understanding of scalable architecture, design patterns, integrations, databases, caching, test automation, release management, and production support practices
- Strong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Familiarity with Lightning Web Components, Aura, Salesforce flows/workflows, validation rules, profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, and deployment tools preferred
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, automation, observability, and incident-response practices
