Hyatt Hotels Corporation is seeking an enthusiastic Account Lead, Entertainment to join their National Sales Team. This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of entertainment accounts and developing new business opportunities within the entertainment vertical to drive preference and loyalty for Hyatt-branded hotels.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of entertainment accounts while developing new business opportunities within the vertical
- Build and maintain deep account intelligence, including key buyers, influencers, production contacts, travel patterns, sourcing preferences, business potential, competitive set, and next steps
- Develop and execute account plans that support revenue growth across group, transient, extended stay, production, project-based, and special event business
- Prospect and qualify new entertainment, media, production, sports, music, streaming, live event, talent, and related accounts with potential for Hyatt hotels
- Educate entertainment buyers on Hyatt brands, hotel capabilities, location fit, service standards, and solutions relevant to their business needs
- Ensure managed entertainment accounts include Hyatt in relevant group, transient, production, project, and event sourcing opportunities
- Partner with hotel sales teams, operators, revenue management, and commercial stakeholders to align customer needs with hotel priorities and win business
- Support customer negotiations, hotel communication, and opportunity follow-up with urgency, discretion, and strong attention to detail
- Stay current on entertainment industry trends, production activity, event calendars, market conditions, forecasts, and competitive intelligence
- Use CRM, sourcing platforms, analytics, and industry tools to document activity, prioritize opportunities, and measure account performance
- Champion Hyatt initiatives and priorities with entertainment customers as appropriate, including new hotel openings, focus hotels, Essentials brands, and special initiatives
- Elevate the voice of the entertainment customer within Hyatt and participate in cross-functional projects that support National Sales priorities
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of hotel sales, hospitality sales, account management, entertainment sales, or related commercial experience
- Demonstrated experience working with entertainment, media, production, sports, music, streaming, live events, talent, or related accounts
- Strong understanding of entertainment market dynamics, including buyer expectations, sourcing behavior, production timelines, travel patterns, confidentiality needs, and service requirements
- Strong sales knowledge and business development experience across group, transient, extended stay, production, project-based, and/or special event business
- Proven ability to manage a portfolio of accounts while also developing new business opportunities
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, relationship-building, and follow-through skills
- Detailed organization skills with the ability to manage multiple customers, priorities, opportunities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CRM and/or database management tools
- Knowledge of customer sourcing and booking tools such as Cvent, Cvent Transient, HopSkip, Concur, GetThere, or similar platforms
- Experience with industry data tools such as Knowland Group, Amadeus Hotelligence Suite, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar platforms
- Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Sales, Business, Marketing, Entertainment, or a related field
- Existing relationships within entertainment, media, production, sports, music, streaming, live events, talent, or related verticals
- Multi-hotel and/or multi-brand sales experience
- Previous total account, strategic account, or vertical account management experience
