About this role
Golfballs.com is the World Leader in Golf Customization, specializing in personalized golf products. They are seeking a Full Stack Engineer to develop software that supports customer interactions and internal operations, collaborating with various teams to enhance efficiency and scalability.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain modern full-stack web applications
- Build intuitive, responsive user interfaces using React and Next.js
- Develop scalable backend APIs and services using Node.js
- Design software solutions that are secure, performant, maintainable, and scalable
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute ideas that improve our technology platform
- Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement long-term solutions
- Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code following engineering best practices
- Create and maintain technical documentation that supports long-term maintainability
- Participate in sprint planning, provide development estimates, and accurately track work
- Continuously improve development processes, coding standards, and system performance
Requirements:
- 2+ years of professional experience developing full-stack web applications
- Experience building modern web applications using React and/or Next.js
- Experience developing backend services using Node.js
- Strong JavaScript skills (TypeScript experience is a plus)
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs
- Experience using Git in a collaborative development environment
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated ownership mindset with the ability to independently identify problems, recommend solutions, and drive work to completion
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Experience with AWS cloud services
- Experience with DynamoDB, NoSQL databases, or Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
- Familiarity with Docker or containerized development environments
- Experience working within Agile or Scrum teams
- Experience supporting or building e-commerce applications
- Experience with Shopify apps and ecosystems
