Innovative Renal Care is one of the largest dialysis service providers in the U.S., partnering with local physicians to deliver high-quality care to patients with ESRD and other kidney conditions. The Data Engineer is responsible for designing, constructing, installing, testing, and maintaining highly scalable data management systems, collaborating closely with analysts and IT professionals to ensure efficient data modeling and ETL processes.
Responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains robust data pipelines and architectures for processing, storing, and analyzing large-scale datasets
- Designs data models and schemas that support business intelligence and analytics solutions
- Optimizes data systems for performance and efficiency
- Develops and manages ETL processes to transform data from source systems to data warehouses and lakes
- Assists in the migration from a traditional data warehousing environment to a cloud system
- Ensures data integrity and reliability through appropriate data governance and quality controls
- Implements data security and privacy measures
- Works closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide technical expertise
- Supports data analysts and scientists in accessing and interpreting data
- Evaluates new data technologies and makes recommendations for adoption based on the company's needs
- Leads the implementation of selected technologies
- Documents data architecture, processes, and standards
- Prepares technical documentation and reports for stakeholders
- Investigates and resolves data-related issues, including data cleansing, transformation errors, and performance bottlenecks
- Leads data engineering projects from conception to completion
- Manages project timelines, resources, and deliverables
- Stays updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data engineering and analytics
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
- Proficiency with SQL databases
- Experience with data warehousing concepts and techniques
- Experience with big data platforms and tools (e.g. Spark and Python)
- Strong understanding of data architecture principles and data modeling techniques
- Experience with cloud-based data solutions (Azure and AWS)
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- 2+ years of experience in data engineering, database development, or related roles preferred
