Hertz is a leading vehicle rental company, and they are seeking a Senior Product Manager for their Day of Rent team. The role involves building software products to enhance customer experience and requires strategic vision, hands-on leadership, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless digital experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Define and prioritize product features that will enable the growth and scale of Hertz's initiatives, which is one of the major priorities of the business
- Execute against long-term product roadmap, coordinating with operations, engineering, design, and data science teams both domestically and internationally
- Integrate AI tools and features into the product development process
- Work closely with the strategy, operations, and go to market teams to ensure there is a consistent and holistic approach from pilot to scaled solutions
- Communicate across constituencies: within cross-functional team, broadly within Hertz internally and external to Hertz (customers, partners, candidates, etc.)
- Ensure that we have a consistent customer focus in our research, planning and decision making
- Articulate and systematically test product hypotheses
- Navigate complex decision-making using product data and key performance indicators
- Identify and implement metrics for estimating the impact of changes to the existing risk management platforms and tools
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, applied math, data science, operation research or related field required
- 5+ years of product management experience required
- Experience building or managing dynamic pricing systems, pricing experiments, or monetization features in consumer-facing digital businesses required
- Demonstrated ability to translate data and insights into pricing decisions and product features
- Strong communication skills. You must be able to work with cross-functional partners to gather requirements and explain outcomes
- Strong product sense. You must be able to align your work with business objectives and make appropriate tradeoffs
- Learning mentality. You must be able to pick up new skills as needed and demonstrate a curiosity about new technologies
- Ability to own product strategy, roadmap, and execution for a product of limited to moderate complexity
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with comfort working closely with Data Science and Engineering teams
- Proven track record of delivering measurable revenue, margin, or attach rate improvements
- MBA or master's degree
