soona is seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) to build their outbound pipeline from the ground up. The BDR will be responsible for researching target accounts, executing outreach, qualifying opportunities, and booking meetings for the sales team.
Responsibilities:
- Builds and owns cold outbound pipeline through strategic prospecting and multi-channel outreach (email, phone, LinkedIn, and beyond)
- Researches target accounts and builds high-quality prospect lists using modern prospecting and list-building tools
- Qualifies inbound and outbound leads to assess fit, urgency, and opportunity size before handing off to the sales team
- Books and prepares discovery meetings for account executives, ensuring a seamless handoff and strong first impression
- Masters soona's ICP (ideal customer profile) and develops an expert-level understanding of our products and value proposition
- Manages all outreach activity and pipeline in HubSpot with discipline and accuracy
- Develops and iterates on outbound sequences, messaging, and playbooks to improve conversion rates over time
- Can work cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and creative teams to align outbound efforts with broader go-to-market strategy
Requirements:
- 2+ years of outbound sales or business development experience, preferably in a B2B or SaaS environment
- Proven track record of building cold pipeline and booking qualified meetings
- Proficient in HubSpot CRM for pipeline management, sequencing, and reporting
- Comfortable with prospecting tools and data platforms (e.g. Apollo, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication
- Analytical mindset with the ability to pull reporting and optimize your own outreach performance
- Thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing startup environment
- Access to a reliable internet connection
- hands-on experience with Clay or similar list-building and prospecting enrichment tools (strong preference)
- Proficient with G Suite, Slack, and social media platforms
