About this role
IMG Academy is the world’s leading sports education brand, providing a holistic education model for student-athletes. They are seeking a talented Full-Stack Engineer to develop, test, and maintain web applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance web applications
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using modern frameworks and technologies
- Collaborate with designers and product managers to implement user-friendly interfaces
- Build and integrate APIs to support application functionality
- Work with databases, ensuring optimal data modeling and performance
- Implement security best practices to protect sensitive data
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues in a timely manner
- Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards
- Document and define disaster and succession plans for software solutions
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and suggest improvements to enhance product development
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience as a Full-Stack Engineer or similar role
- Strong proficiency in: Front-end technologies: JavaScript, HTML, SCSS, Liquid, Twig
- Strong proficiency in: Back-end technologies: Ruby, PHP, Node.js
- Strong proficiency in: Development tools: Composer, Brew, NVM/NPM
- Strong proficiency in: Server and database management: Linux, Apache, MySQL, YAML
- Strong proficiency in: Leveraging Claude AI
- Hands-on experience with front-end frameworks like React, Vue.js, or Angular
- Experience with relational and SQL databases
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus
- Experience with version control using Git/GitHub
- Experience with Enterprise Cloudflare services
- Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, or Cypress
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Master's degree in software engineering or related field
- Interest in sports
- Experience leveraging AI frameworks such as OpenAI, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar technologies
