Job Title: Clinical Documentation Specialist (CDS)
Hourly/Salary Compensation Range: 60-70/hr based on experience and education
Location:- Fully remote - candidates must reside in:
- AZ, AR, CA, CO, FL, GA, ID, IL, LA, MI, MN, MO, MT, NV, NJ, NC, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA
Hours: Full-time, remote (standard business hours - 8-5 PST)

Client Overview:Healthcare organization requiring experienced CDS professionals to support accurate documentation, DRG assignment, and compliance with CMS guidelines in a remote environment. [Fill in client-specific branding/summary if allowed.]Job Description:- Perform concurrent medical record reviews to ensure documentation accurately reflects patient severity and services provided.
- Work with physicians and healthcare professionals to clarify and improve documentation through queries and education.
- Ensure documentation supports MS-DRG assignment and aligns with CMS compliance regulations.
- Participate in quality-based and mortality-related reviews as needed.
- Utilize risk adjustment tools to support accurate capture of patient risk and outcomes.
- Collaborate effectively with remote team members and attend virtual meetings/education sessions.
Skill Set Requirements:- 2-3+ years of Clinical Documentation Specialist/CDI experience.
- Strong understanding of MS-DRG, coding concepts, and CMS documentation standards.
- Experience with concurrent reviews and provider queries.
- Strong written and verbal communication and ability to educate/partner with providers.
- Comfortable working fully remote with reliable technology and self-management skills.
- Experience with quality-based reviews, mortality reviews, and risk adjustment tools (preferred).
Education/Certifications/License(s):- IMG with medical degree (MD/MBBS or equivalent)
- OR
- Registered Nurse (RN) with active license in the US.
- CCDS or CCDIP certification required (current).
