About this role
Nauto is a high-growth company focused on preventing collisions and saving lives with predictive AI technology. They are seeking an experienced Solutions Engineering Director to lead the Solutions Engineering team in delivering exceptional technical solutions, collaborating closely with sales and product teams to meet customer needs.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and mentor a team of solutions engineers, providing direction, support, and professional development opportunities
- Collaborate with the sales and product teams to understand customer requirements and develop comprehensive technical solutions that align with their needs and objectives
- Act as a technical expert and strategic advisor for key customer accounts, participating in pre-sales activities, and ensuring the successful implementation of solutions
- Work closely with product managers, engineering teams, and other stakeholders to align solutions with the company's product roadmap and technology capabilities
- Develop and drive the solutions engineering strategy, ensuring that it supports business objectives and maintains a competitive edge in the market
- Continuously assess and enhance the solutions engineering processes, tools, and methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Collaborate with the HR team and executive leadership to assess staffing needs, hire and onboard new team members, and allocate resources effectively
- Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to maintain a high level of technical proficiency and provide thought leadership within the organization
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- Proven experience (e.g., 8+ years) in solutions engineering or a related technical pre-sales role, with at least 3-5 years of experience in a leadership capacity
- Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical discussions with customers and internal stakeholders
- Solid understanding of software development processes and technologies
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strategic thinking and business acumen
- Proven track record of driving successful customer outcomes through technical solutions
