SearchLab Digital is a nationally recognized SEO and PPC agency headquartered in Chicago. They are seeking a Growth Marketer to own the entire lead generation cycle, focusing on building and scaling non-traditional lead generation paths to convert prospects into qualified leads and revenue.
Responsibilities:
- Own the lead journey from first touch to sales handoff across our three core audiences: auto dealers, local SMBs, and enterprise multi-location businesses. This includes converting existing content (studies, webinars, conferences/events, case studies) into lead magnets while executing pre- and post-event nurture campaigns to extend engagement well past the event date. You'll work with our content partners to convert content into lead-generating assets
- Forget the "best practices" everyone else is following. We need you to build non-standard growth loops, behavioral triggers, email funnels, and clever experiments that actually generate leads. You know that winning hearts with great storytelling and psychology is just as vital as managing the Meta budget
- Time to build and blast. You’ll plan and launch email sequences and funnel plays that turn cold prospects into warm conversations. When we do put money behind a campaign, you’ll treat every dollar like it’s your own, making sure there’s a rock-solid hypothesis behind every move
- Numbers are only half the story. You’ll track what’s working, from CPL to pipeline growth, and turn those insights into your next big test. We’re looking for a constant stream of new ideas and optimizations that generate qualified leads, not just a spreadsheet recap at the end of the month
- You use (and love to use) tools like Claude Cowork, Apify, Jasper, Loveable, and automation platforms to build systems and not just to rewrite your email funnel copy. You can show us what you’ve built, explain why it worked (or what you learned when it didn’t), and connect it to real lead generating outcomes
Requirements:
- 3-5+ years of hands-on growth or demand generation marketing experience. You've generated leads that became great customers
- You've built things and are highly detail oriented: landing pages, email nurture sequences, and know how to maintain consistent audience segmentation, UTM tracking, and campaign reporting hygiene
- Experience turning content into lead generation like email nurture sequences, lead magnets, and content-to-lead funnels
- Analytical and ego-free: you form a hypothesis, test it, read the data, and kill it or scale it based on results
- You're a strong writer who can craft compelling copy that speaks our ICP's language, actually converts, and isn't filled with em dashes
- Proven, documented use of AI tools in your workflow (not just ChatGPT for captions, we're talking systems and automations to help generate more leads). You have experience using tools like Apify, Customers.ai, Vector, Canva, and CRM tools like Zoho or HubSpot
- Comfortable in a lean, fast-moving environment. You'll work alongside the Director of Marketing and be expected to test things and learn quickly, and move on
- Behaviorally curious: you think about why people click, convert, and disengage and not just whether they did
