PsychPlus is on a mission to reimagine how mental health care is delivered, providing a digital-first approach to psychiatry and therapy. The Employer Health Sales / Business Development professional will drive growth by developing strategic partnerships with employers and health plans, identifying new business opportunities, and presenting tailored mental health solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute business development strategies to expand PsychPlus' employer partnerships nationwide
- Prospect, identify, and engage HR leaders, benefits managers, executives, brokers, and consultants
- Generate qualified opportunities through networking, outbound outreach, referrals, conferences, and strategic partnerships
- Conduct discovery meetings to understand employer workforce mental health needs
- Present customized mental health solutions to prospective clients through virtual and in-person meetings
- Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline while consistently achieving revenue and growth targets
- Negotiate contracts and pricing in collaboration with leadership and legal teams
- Partner with Operations, Clinical, Marketing, and Implementation teams to ensure successful client onboarding
- Maintain long-term relationships with employer partners to maximize retention and account growth
- Utilize CRM platforms to manage sales activities, forecasting, and reporting
- Stay informed on industry trends, employer healthcare benefits, behavioral health initiatives, and competitor offerings
- Represent PsychPlus at conferences, networking events, webinars, and industry meetings
Requirements:
- Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings, conferences, and industry events
- 2+ years of experience in Employer Health Sales, Business Development, Healthcare Sales, Employee Benefits, Behavioral Health, or related B2B sales
- Proven success generating new business and managing complex sales cycles
- Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Experience using CRM platforms such as HubSpot or Salesforce
- Excellent presentation, communication, and organizational skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
- Passion for improving access to mental healthcare and workplace well-being
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, Psychology, or related field (preferred)
- Experience working with employers, health plans, brokers, TPAs, or employee benefits programs is highly preferred
- Familiarity with employer-sponsored healthcare, EAP programs, behavioral health, or value-based care solutions
