Finance Research Intern, AI Evaluation

Aptura is building the reinforcement learning data company that powers frontier model training globally. In this 3-month internship, you will apply your knowledge to improve AI reasoning across complex financial workflows by developing and evaluating high-quality training data for AI models in financial analysis and investment banking.

Responsibilities:

• Develop realistic investment banking scenarios, prompts, and reference solutions that reflect real-world analytical workflows
• Evaluate AI-generated responses for financial accuracy, reasoning quality, technical rigor, and completeness using structured evaluations
• Collaborate with domain experts to translate finance expertise into high-quality evaluation criteria and training signals
• Identify common failure modes in financial reasoning, modelling assumptions, valuation methodologies, and transaction analysis
• Document best practices, reasoning frameworks, and evaluation guidelines to improve AI performance across financial domains
