QA/Business Analyst

Oddball is a company that values learning and growth while making a significant impact in the federal space by delivering quality software. They are seeking a QA/Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business requirements and quality delivery in a complex federal health data environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, execute, and maintain automated and manual test cases and test plans validating DoD healthcare data across pipelines, ETL processes, and system integrations
• Verify ETL and data integration processes by comparing source and target data after transformations
• Query and analyze complex databases to validate data accuracy, completeness, and integrity
• Leverage AI tools to identify data anomalies, generate test cases, produce SQL validation queries, and support defect analysis
• Lead requirements gathering activities including stakeholder interviews, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Maintain requirements traceability and support backlog grooming and refinement
• Develop and maintain testing documentation, defect reports, and data quality findings
• Escalate critical issues to project leadership with clear, well-documented context

Requirements:

• 5+ years of QA and data quality assurance experience in enterprise or federal environments
• Strong SQL proficiency across multiple dialects with experience querying and analyzing complex relational databases
• Experience with automated and manual testing tools and frameworks
• Familiarity with ETL and data pipeline testing and validation
• Thrives in a remote, collaborative Agile environment and genuinely enjoys working across engineering and functional teams
• Communicates clearly and openly, whether writing a test plan or presenting findings to stakeholders
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States
• Bachelor's Degree
• Experience using AI tools to enhance test planning, execution, and data quality analysis
• Background in DoD, VA, or healthcare data environments with knowledge of HIPAA requirements
• Experience with Azure DevOps or similar tools
