Business Analyst – Life Sciences (Model N)

Novia Infotech is seeking a Business Analyst specializing in Life Sciences. The role involves collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and support Model N implementations in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into functional requirements
• Analyze and improve business processes related to pricing, revenue management, and commercial operations
• Work with Model N implementation and support teams to configure and optimize solutions
• Create business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and user stories
• Facilitate workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and stakeholder meetings
• Support UAT planning, execution, and issue resolution
• Coordinate with development, QA, and project management teams throughout the project lifecycle
• Ensure solutions align with business objectives and regulatory requirements within the Life Sciences domain

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
• Strong domain experience in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, or Biotechnology industries
• Hands-on experience with Model N (Revenue Management, Pricing, Rebates, Contracts, or Government Pricing)
• Experience gathering, documenting, and validating business and functional requirements
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and business process modeling
• Experience creating BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, and functional specifications
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation abilities
• Experience working with cross-functional business and technical teams
• Proficiency with SQL, Excel, JIRA, Confluence, or similar tools is preferred
• Experience with Model N implementations or upgrades
• Understanding of pharmaceutical pricing, contracting, rebates, chargebacks, and government pricing
• Exposure to Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, or other enterprise applications
• Experience in data analysis and reporting
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Life Sciences, Information Systems, or a related field
