Business Systems Analyst with SQL queries - 100% Remote

DTI (Diversified Technology Inc.) is an IT Consulting/Staffing firm based in Chicago's Loop, seeking an experienced IT Applications Analyst. This role involves supporting enterprise financial applications, gathering requirements, and collaborating with Agile teams to enhance application functionality and business processes.

Responsibilities:

• Provide application and business process support for enterprise software
• Serve as the liaison between business users and IT development teams
• Gather business requirements and create user stories, features, epics, and backlog items
• Collaborate with Agile Scrum teams throughout the software development lifecycle
• Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans and regression testing
• Analyze business requirements and recommend process improvements
• Perform root cause analysis for production issues and implement resolutions
• Analyze complex datasets using SQL to identify trends and resolve issues
• Document defects, expected results, and testing outcomes
• Support production releases, demonstrations, and end-user training
• Perform application data maintenance and basic system fixes
• Participate in production support activities, including occasional after-hours support when required
• Create technical documentation and reports
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
• 5+ years of IT Applications Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or Application Support experience
• Strong hands-on experience writing Microsoft SQL queries
• Experience supporting financial software applications
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including: VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Delimited/Text Files
• Experience developing and executing test plans within an Agile Scrum environment
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

• Experience supporting enterprise software applications
• Familiarity with finance business processes including: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Procurement, Revenue Accounting, Tax, Treasury
