Sr. Analyst M&A, CCI Business

Qcells North America is seeking a Senior Analyst M&A to support the Project Acquisition and Due Diligence team within the CCI business. The role involves executing community solar and energy storage project acquisitions, performing due diligence, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure successful project integration.

Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough due diligence (including technical, financial, and legal evaluation, and data validation), deal negotiation, and complex transaction execution
• Manage cross-functional teams to complete due diligence and lead transaction through an in-depth understanding of real estate, project permitting, and interconnection
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to senior management, investment committee, and stakeholders
• Update project documentation through the acquisition lifecycle and assist with project timeline and deadline management related to acquisition activities and post-closing items to support transition to construction/operations team
• Oversee the integration of acquired projects into the company's portfolio, coordinating with relevant teams to ensure seamless transition and operation
• Perform market & competitive analyses and contribute to developing business strategies and frameworks to expand operating PV/ESS assets in the states
• Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization including project finance, project engineering/management, grid services, and legal
• Perform other duties and special projects, as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, Finance/Accounting, Engineering, Energy, or a related technical field
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience in renewable energy focusing on development and financial modeling, with direct exposure to distributed generation, community solar, and/or storage
• Demonstrated capacity for analytical thinking with advanced financial modeling skills (proficient in MS Excel/VBA) and structured problem-solving
• Clear understanding of basic finance, accounting, and economic concepts: financial modeling, DCF, NPV, project accounting, etc
• Ability to work both well independently and within broad, diverse teams, building relationships with other departments to accomplish objectives
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Ability to cope with tight deadlines and time-sensitive milestones/deliverables
• Master's degree, ideally in Business, Energy, Environmental, or Sustainability field, or a similar level of energy-specific experience
• High-level understanding of the dynamics between energy policies, technology, and finance
• High-level understanding of project management, engineering, procurement, construction, and real estate development processes
• Passion for renewable energy and interest in developing deep industry expertise energized by engaging in new industries/technologies; continuous learner mindset
