Building Automation Project Manager

Divcon is headquartered in Dallas, Texas, delivering fully integrated automation solutions nationwide. We are seeking a Traveling Project Manager to oversee the installation, commissioning, and handover of multiple construction projects, ensuring successful execution on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

• Manage project scope, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely completion
• Oversee installation subcontractors and Controls Technicians during commissioning
• Maintain ongoing communication with clients to address concerns and manage expectations
• Identify and mitigate project risks to ensure smooth execution
• Obtain, organize, and maintain all project contract documents
• Review and approve engineering submittals and technical drawings before handoff
• Track and manage change orders, purchase orders, and project expenses to maintain budget adherence
• Maintain accurate project records, including milestones, billings, SoV, and documentation within DivPro
• Assign commissioning work and oversee field personnel
• Review and approve weekly timecards for Controls Technicians
• Approve and manage the Bill of Materials (BoM) for each project
• Provide monthly project updates, including billing and financial reporting, to senior management

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in construction project management
• Strong understanding of building management systems (BMS), HVAC controls, and automation
• Technical expertise in electrical systems, commissioning, and risk management
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
• Strong organizational and project planning skills with attention to detail
• OSHA 30 certification obtained within the past two (2) years is required
• • If certification is not current or has not been completed, OSHA 30 training will be provided and must be successfully completed within the first week of employment
• Proficiency in project management software and documentation tools
