Principal Product Manager

Microsoft is seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead the Health & Detection space for Azure’s Brain centralized AIOps system. The role defines product strategy and roadmaps for AI-powered health models, anomaly detection, signal correlation, and service health experiences while partnering with Engineering, Data Science, and service teams to improve reliability and enable autonomous operations.

Responsibilities:

• Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Brain Health & Detection platform, including health models, anomaly detection, signal correlation, and service health insights
• Use telemetry, customer feedback, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) insights to identify reliability gaps, prioritize investments, and improve detection quality
• Partner with Engineering, Data Science, and service teams to deliver scalable, secure, and trusted health and detection experiences
• Establish success metrics and drive outcomes across detection precision, recall, alert quality, noise reduction, adoption, and time to detect
• Lead end-to-end product execution, from problem definition and experimentation through release, adoption, and continuous improvement
• Influence senior leaders and partner teams to align priorities, resolve tradeoffs, and drive strategy across organizational boundaries
• Mentor Product Managers and help shape Microsoft’s long-term Artificial Intelligence Operations (AIOps) vision for autonomous service health management

Requirements:

• • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development
  • OR equivalent experience
• • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
• • Bachelor's Degree AND 12+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development
  • OR equivalent experience
• • 4+ years experience taking a product, feature, or experience to market (e.g., design, addressing product market fit, and launch, internal tool/framework)
• • 6+ years experience improving product metrics for a product, feature, or experience in a market (e.g., growing customer base, expanding customer usage, avoiding customer churn)
• • 6+ years experience disrupting a market for a product, feature, or experience (e.g., competitive disruption, taking the place of an established competing product)
