Email Marketing Manager

Sambu Digital is seeking an Email Marketing Manager for a remote contract role responsible for planning and executing email marketing campaigns for e-commerce clients. The role includes developing strategies, managing workflows, and analyzing performance metrics to improve ROI.

Responsibilities:

• Planning, executing, and optimizing email marketing campaigns for e-commerce clients
• Develops email strategies
• Defines audience segmentation
• Manages automated workflows across the acquisition lifecycle stages
• Building and testing campaigns
• Overseeing copy and creative assets
• Ensuring compliance with privacy and anti-spam regulations
• Monitoring deliverability and inbox placement
• Analyzes performance metrics
• Prepares reports and insights
• Collaborates with analytics and tag management specialists to refine targeting and improve ROI
• Partners with clients to translate business objectives into actionable email plans
• Supports continuous experimentation through A/B testing and iterative optimization

Requirements:

• Strong Marketing Automation skills, including experience with email service providers, workflow design, and lifecycle campaign management
• Marketing and Digital Marketing skills to connect email efforts with broader acquisition strategies
• Lead Generation experience, with the ability to design opt-in flows, nurture sequences, and campaigns that drive qualified traffic and conversions
• Customer Relationship Management (CRM) skills, including audience segmentation, data hygiene, and using customer data to personalize communications
• Proficiency with email analytics and reporting, A/B testing, and performance optimization
• Strong written communication, attention to detail, and familiarity with privacy, compliance, and anti-spam regulations (e.g., CAN-SPAM, GDPR)
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience working with e-commerce brands and tools such as GA4, Looker Studio, or similar analytics platforms
