Merchant Services Sales Account Executive

NewtekOne is a financial holding company providing banking, payment processing, technology, and other business solutions to small and medium-sized businesses. The Merchant Services Sales Account Executive will generate and manage sales opportunities for payment processing solutions, prospect nationally, qualify leads, develop client relationships, and achieve sales quotas through consultative selling.

Responsibilities:

• Generate new client sales using a consultative solution approach through referrals, networking, outbound call campaigns
• Prospect new business using a variety of networking techniques such as cold calls, texts, emails, social engagement, and events
• Research and analyze the potential client or referral's business, industry, etc. to determine the best product and/or solution for the client's needs
• Educate, consult, and navigate clients towards the appropriate NMS and its affiliates' products and solutions
• Develop new business opportunities with existing clients in order to expand our clientele and build our business
• Solve the clients business needs with the right products and services in a prompt and professional manner
• Manage a pipeline of prospects to qualify potential leads and moving qualified leads into and through the sales funnel
• Prepare the client proposals using pricing within set guidelines
• Self-source leads when necessary
• Commit to departmental and individual quotas/goals
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with outside sales and marketing
• Schedule meetings both in the office and out in the field to present and demo product, services and/or solutions
• Ensure professional communication following the NMS telephone etiquette, greeting and salutation

Requirements:

• High School or equivalent experience and a minimum 3 years of related business-to-business (B2B) experience preferably in the credit card industry
• Passion for sales with experience prospecting and closing sales over the phone
• Prior experience with payment processing products and solutions
• Strong organizational, follow-up and time management skills

• Must possess and be able to demonstrate strong influencing and closing skills
• Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment

• Possess a strong work ethic and a desire to succeed
• Competent computer skills
• Experience in business development/lead generation sales and marketing preferred
• Strong knowledge of the credit card industry a plus
• Bilingual is a plus
