Business Support Analyst

State Compensation Insurance Fund is California’s largest provider of workers’ compensation insurance, offering claims service and medical and indemnity benefits to employers and injured employees. The Business Support Analyst will support Claims Processing Center operations through analysis, reporting and recommendations, coordination, and facilitation of administrative issues and projects involving workflow, budgeting, resources, human resources, and systems objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Provide quality customer service in a timely manner
• Assist CPC Leadership Team with development and implementation of medical cost containment projects to support Claims
• Operational objectives
• Evaluate and update electronic reporting systems, analytical processes, and written documentation to meet changing priorities
• In support of Claims and Legal Department proposals
• Defend State Fund against fraudulent activities
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance and/or communication availability during working hours

Requirements:

• Must reside in California upon appointment
• Must provide a fully completed STD 678 application, resume, and statement of qualifications
• Must include duties performed, start and end dates, and hours worked per week for each position held in the STD 678 application
• Must conduct operational research or data analysis to address a workflow, staffing, or performance issue while managing competing priorities
• Must establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Must provide quality customer service in a timely manner
• Must assist CPC Leadership Team with development and implementation of medical cost containment projects to support Claims operational objectives
• Must evaluate and update electronic reporting systems, analytical processes, and written documentation to meet changing priorities in support of Claims and Legal Department proposals
• Must defend State Fund against fraudulent activities
• Must maintain regular and predictable attendance and/or communication availability during working hours
• Must attend in-person Onboarding at the Vacaville office if required
