Sales & Account Manager

Exact Metrology, a division of In-Place Machining Company, provides metrology and technical solutions to manufacturing and industrial customers. The Sales & Account Manager will manage and grow the Southeast Region territory, build customer relationships, develop new business, recommend service solutions, negotiate agreements, and drive revenue growth.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and expand an established sales territory
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships at all organizational levels
• Grow existing accounts while developing new business opportunities
• Conduct customer visits, presentations, and account reviews
• Generate and follow up on qualified leads
• Prospect through networking, referrals, digital outreach, and cold calling
• Identify customer challenges and recommend solutions from our service portfolio
• Prepare proposals, quotations, and customer presentations
• Negotiate projects and long-term service agreements
• Analyze market trends and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities
• Represent the company at trade shows and industry events
• Maintain accurate pipeline and customer information within CRM systems

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of sales experience
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and manage a geographic territory
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Ability to learn technical products, manufacturing processes, and industrial equipment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to travel up to 50%, including overnight travel during the workweek
• Outside sales experience
• Experience selling within manufacturing, industrial, or technical environments
• Experience managing a multi-state territory
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Experience with metrology, 3D scanning, advanced measurement technologies, modeling software, or related technical solutions
