Senior Product Designer

Cvent is a meetings, events, and hospitality technology company providing event marketing, management, and hospitality software solutions. The Senior Product Designer will own the experience for a product area, leading complex initiatives from discovery through delivery, partnering with cross-functional teams, and mentoring junior designers.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a deep understanding of users, the event-management industry, Cvent’s business, and the broader end-to-end customer journey
• Lead discovery and define design direction through research, analytics, customer feedback, and sound design judgment
• Frame ambiguous problems, create UX briefs and research plans, and translate insights into actionable product opportunities
• Design and communicate solutions using information architecture, user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity designs, prototypes, and functional annotations
• Partner closely with product and engineering to shape strategy, make tradeoffs, and guide work through implementation and quality review
• Facilitate workshops, brainstorming sessions, critiques, and stakeholder reviews to build alignment and move decisions forward
• Present design rationale clearly to peers, leaders, and cross-functional partners; connect design choices to customer value, revenue opportunity, and risk reduction
• Champion accessible, inclusive, and consistent experiences; contribute to and evolve the design system, standards, and patterns
• Mentor junior designers through feedback on design craft, problem solving, and presentation skills
• Advocate for user experience across the organization and contribute to the broader design community

Requirements:

• A portfolio is required with your application
• 4–6 years of professional experience in product design, UX design, or a closely related role, with substantial experience designing software applications
• A portfolio that demonstrates end-to-end design thinking, strong visual and interaction design craft, and measurable customer or business impact
• Ability to independently lead projects from discovery to delivery while navigating ambiguity and balancing multiple priorities
• Expertise with modern design and prototyping tools, plus strong skills in communicating design decisions and facilitating collaborative sessions
• Strong command of interaction design, information architecture, user flows, responsive or mobile design, and usability best practices
• Deep understanding of design systems and accessibility, extending beyond individual UI components
• Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and the confidence to give and receive constructive feedback
• A bachelor's or master's degree in human-computer interaction, UX design, product design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience using qualitative and quantitative evidence to make design recommendations; experience with usability testing is preferred
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus; front-end development experience is a bonus
