Associate Director, Digital Project Manager, oneRTX PST (Remote)

RTX is an aerospace and defense company developing solutions across aerospace, defense, and enterprise operations. The Associate Director, Digital Project Manager will manage large-scale projects within the oneRTX Process & Systems Transformation initiative, including planning, execution, resource allocation, risk management, stakeholder communication, and team development. The role supports process and systems transformation through the implementation of SAP S/4HANA and related enterprise improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Project planning and execution of comprehensive project management plan
• Drive project progress, including task completion, milestone achievement and overall project timeline adherence
• Resource management and allocation, understanding team member workload, potential resource constraints, and ensure optimal resource utilization throughout the lifecycle of the project
• Proactive risk management: identify, assess, mitigate, and monitor potential risks with real-time alerts for critical issues
• Communicate expectations and instill accountability in team members
• Resolve conflicts, promote work sharing, and motivate teams toward common goals
• Manage multiple difficult and complex projects, tasks and resources through effective organization prioritization, and time management practices to meet stakeholder objectives
• Mentor and coach fellow PMO team members, providing guidance, constructive feedback, and support to strengthen their project management capabilities and ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across the team
• Ability to travel ~ 25%-50% to other major RTX US sites (Farmington, Richardson, Cedar Rapids, and Charlotte)

Requirements:

• Ability to travel ~ 25%-50% to other major RTX US sites (Farmington, Richardson, Cedar Rapids, and Charlotte)
• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience OR an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience OR in absence of a degree 16 years of relevant experience
• Experience in scheduling software such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheets, Planview, Jira, or similar tools
• CORE or equivalent (i.e. Six Sigma or Change Management) and project management experience
• Experience with multiple project methodologies including waterfall and agile Scrum methodology
• Effectively lead and manage change within a matrix and team environment while collaborating across lines of business including process and digital
• Experience with agile frameworks/iterative approaches to software development and implementation projects​
• Work productively in a fast-paced, demanding environment (virtually as well as in-person) while managing multiple activities concurrently
• Guide and influence at multiple levels of the organization to include executive leadership
• SAP Knowledge, prior implementation experience
• Project Management Professional (PMP) and Agile certifications
