Senior Project Manager West Coast Region - US Region

Motorola Solutions develops technologies and services that help protect people, property, and communities. The Senior Project Manager will manage the development and implementation of products or services, coordinate cross-functional teams, and oversee complex projects from inception through completion while ensuring timely, budgeted, and high-quality delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Manages the development and/or implementation of Motorola Solutions products or services
• Coordinates departmental or cross-functional teams, focused on delivering new or upgraded existing products or services
• Manages projects from inception to completion (or transition), including tracking and evaluation of project performance
• Ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and within accepted quality metrics
• Participates in project review and status meetings, and communicates project status
• Utilizes six sigma and project management methodologies to ensure maximum project effectiveness
• Motivates project team to ensure optimal performance
• May assist in the development of business plans, strategies, and approaches to take advantage of business opportunities

Requirements:

• • Must have excellent interpersonal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• • Must have prior people Management experience for this position
• • Must be willing to travel (75%) as required for this position
• • Must be willing to work remotely in the United States
• • Must be skilled in using Microsoft Project and similar applications for project schedule planning
• • Must have experience with project risk assessment and risk mitigation strategies
• • Must be a self-motivated team player able to work effectively with general guidance toward objectives
• • Must be able to pass a criminal background check, pass and maintain CJIS Security and Privacy: Privileged Role certification requirements
• • High School diploma, Associates, or Bachelor Degree in Business, Communications, Finance, IT, Management, Project Management, or Technology
• • 5+ years of Public Safety, Project Management, or Program Management experience managing complex deployments is required
• • Must be able to obtain a background clearance as required by our government customers
• • PMP Certification Preferred
