Senior Product Designer, FDE

Microsoft is seeking a Senior Product Designer, FDE to create human-centered digital experiences for complex organizational challenges. The role partners with data scientists, engineers, and program managers to conduct research, translate ambiguous problems into designs, and deliver AI- and data-driven solutions from concept through deployment.

Responsibilities:

• Product Design: Conceptualize end-to-end solutions and drive detailed experience design using structured design techniques; conduct qualitative and quantitative research to uncover customer needs and pain points; and deliver visually rich, insight-driven artifacts that clarify findings and inform decision-making. You will create wireframes, journey maps, and other elements to support interaction design. You’ll also begin to lead product UX improvements by creating interaction models while acting as a liaison between users and products
• Design Collaboration: Represent Design and Design Research within multidisciplinary, technically oriented teams, collaborating on solution development through evidence-based research and leveraging insights to shape holistic concepts

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 5+ years experience working in product or service design

OR Master's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 4+ years experience working in product or service design

OR equivalent experience (e.g., demonstrated experience working in product or service design or using design thinking to solve problems)

• Experience partnering directly with customers or internal stakeholders to deliver solutions end-to-end
• 4+ years experience shipping products, services, or games and/or delivering to customers as a result of an end-to-end design process
• Strong human-centered AI design expertise, combining responsible AI principles, research rigor, and advanced design/prototyping skills to translate insights into actionable product decisions through cross-disciplinary collaboration
• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 8+ years experience working in product or service design

OR Master's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 6+ years experience working in product or service design

OR equivalent experience (e.g., demonstrated experience working in product or service design or using design thinking to solve problems)

• Enjoy travel and are comfortable with travel up to 25%
