PL Product Manager Assistant - Property

Farmers Insurance is an insurance company focused on helping customers manage risk and protect what matters most. The PL Product Manager Assistant supports the introduction and enhancement of personal lines insurance programs, develops product plans, monitors performance, conducts analysis, and coordinates product changes across departments.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for supporting the introduction of new or enhanced personal lines insurance programs
• Takes leadership role in special projects as assigned by Product Manager
• Develops long and short-term plans for their assigned product/territory with Product Executives
• Monitors product performance, analyses results, and makes data-supported recommendations for product enhancements
• Directs development of pricing and contract changes for product
• Manages the analysis and research performed in the development and its alignment with other lines
• Stays abreast of industry developments
• Negotiates and sets priorities to align product goals with the Product Executives’ goals
• Facilitates through other parts of the organization to accomplish results
• Responsible for providing requirements to IT for system changes
• Trains and develops product analysts
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent High school diploma or equivalent required
• Four years experience in similar role or one year in Senior Product Analyst role
• • Solid PC Skills, including Excel, Access, SAS, Word and basic programming for statistical purposes
• • Excellent verbal/written communication skills, including ability to make effective presentations and write articles publishable in trade magazines
• • Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn advanced insurance pricing concepts and insurance terms and structure
• • Demonstrated ability to secure 'buy-in' and convince others regarding best approach
• • Goal oriented team player with a positive attitude

• Frequently sits for prolonged periods of time, up to a full shift
• Occasionally moves about the workplace including, navigating stairs, ramps, and level or uneven surfaces

• Frequently uses shoulders, arms, hands, and fingers to manipulate equipment, tools, and objects necessary to perform job duties
• Frequently performs fine motor tasks such as typing, mousing, or writing, up to a full shift
• Rarely performs movements such as bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, twisting, and reaching overhead or below the knees
• Possesses clear vision, with or without correction, to visually read and verify information
• Relies on depth perception and peripheral vision to navigate the work environment visually by identifying barriers, changes in terrain and locating objects
• Possesses adequate hearing, with or without correction, to communicate with co-workers, respond promptly to auditory signals or alarms, and discern sounds essential for maintaining safety and productivity in the workplace
