Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP Finance Transformation Project Manager to lead enterprise-wide initiatives focused on modernizing, automating, and optimizing SAP Finance processes across General Ledger (GL), Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and Financial Reporting.

The ideal candidate will have strong project/program management experience within SAP Finance and Finance Transformation environments, with the ability to manage complex initiatives involving SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, Finance automation, digital transformation, third-party integrations, and enterprise stakeholders.

This is a project leadership role and does not require hands-on SAP configuration. The successful candidate should have sufficient knowledge of SAP Finance processes and automation technologies to effectively manage scope, dependencies, risks, timelines, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of SAP Finance transformation initiatives from planning and business case through implementation, go-live, and hypercare.
• Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, resources, milestones, dependencies, and delivery schedules.
• Lead Finance transformation and automation initiatives across GL, AR, AP, financial close, reporting, and reconciliation processes.
• Coordinate Finance business stakeholders, SAP solution architects, functional teams, developers, integration teams, and third-party vendors.
• Manage Finance process automation initiatives involving RPA, AI, Generative AI, SAP BTP, workflow automation, and related technologies.
• Manage implementations of AR/AP automation solutions, including cash application, invoice automation, collections, reconciliation, and related Finance processes.
• Coordinate SAP and third-party application integrations, including API and enterprise interface initiatives.
• Facilitate requirements gathering and process design workshops with Finance and business stakeholders.
• Track project status, risks, issues, dependencies, milestones, and business impact.
• Provide regular project updates and executive-level reporting to Finance and IT leadership.
• Lead testing, UAT, cutover, deployment, go-live, and hypercare activities.
• Manage transformation backlogs, priorities, and workstream sequencing as business requirements evolve.
• Drive change management, communication, and adoption activities across Finance teams.
• Manage vendor relationships, delivery commitments, milestones, and escalations.
• Ensure project delivery follows established governance, quality, and enterprise standards.

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience managing SAP Finance transformation or SAP Finance technology projects.
• Working knowledge of SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA Finance.
• Understanding of core Finance processes including GL, AP, AR, financial reporting, reconciliation, and period-end close.
• Experience managing Finance process automation or digital transformation initiatives.
• Experience working with AR/AP automation platforms or comparable Finance automation solutions.
• Understanding of SAP and third-party application integrations, APIs, and enterprise interfaces.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams across business, functional, technical, and vendor organizations.
• Strong experience with project planning, risk management, issue resolution, dependencies, and executive reporting.
• Experience managing UAT, cutover, deployment, go-live, and post-production support.
• Excellent stakeholder communication, leadership, and vendor management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with HighRadius or comparable AR/AP automation platforms.
• Experience with RPA, AI, Generative AI, SAP BTP, or intelligent automation initiatives.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance transformation programs.
• Experience with Finance close, consolidation, cash application, collections, dispute management, invoice automation, and reconciliation.
• PMP certification.
• Agile/Scrum certification or experience.
• Experience managing hybrid Agile/Waterfall delivery methodologies.
• Experience working within large enterprise Finance transformation programs.
